SANUR VILLAGE FESTIVAL 2007 ‘BEACH CLEAN-UP’ CAMPAIGN
MOVES INTO HIGH GEAR
Bali, 08 August 2007… Senior management representing Sanur’s tourism industry conducted a thorough beach ‘audit’ on Saturday, July 28th as a critical step to ensure a successful 2007 Sanur Village Festival ‘Beach Clean-up’ campaign on Monday, August 13, 2007 starting at 8am. To provide for the best possible result on the clean-up day, the audit team cycled the entire 6 kilometers of the Sanur Beach stretch, starting close to the Mercure Resort in the south and ending just past the Diwangkara Holiday Villa in the north. Along the route, careful notes were taken of the type and amount of rubbish in each area, so that manpower and equipment could appropriately be assigned to each of the three zones detailed below.

AUGUST 13th A COMPLETE SUCCESS
Sanur, Bali 13 August, 2007 – Over 300 employees from Sanur’s tourism industry accompanied by around 100 Sanur area hotel guests completed a thorough clean-up of the entire, 5 kilometer Sanur beachfront, starting close to the Mercure Resort in the south and ending just past the Diwangkara Holiday Villa in the north. The August 13th ‘Beach Clean-up’ is one of the most visible collective efforts by the Sanur tourism industry and clearly demonstrates their resolve to keep Sanur ‘Green and Clean’. It was also viewed by the Yayasan Pembangunan Sanur as one of the most important ways that the tourism sector could support the 2007 Sanur Village Festival from August 15th to August 19th.

Bali, 15 August 2007... Denpasar Mayor A.A. Ngurah Puspayoga officially opens the Bonsai Adenium Contest during the Second Sanur Village Festival (SVF) of 2007, on Wednesday (15/8). More than 60 government officials and bonsai lovers attended the event.
This event is held in preparation for Asia Pacific Bonsai Contest (ASPAC) on September 1, 2007 attended by local Bonsai and Adenium experts.
