YAYASAN PEMBANGUNAN SANUR
Establishment
Yayasan Pembangunan Sanur (YPS)
was first establish on April 17th, 1966 in Sanur as a non-profit social organization with
the orientation to continuously develop the village and its surroundings. Its
region included 3 cultural villages namely Sanur, Intaran and Penyaringan all
located within the Sanur Village.
Functions and Goals
Goals :
- To play a part in the
maintenance and development of potentials found within the vicinity and its
community which includes but not limited to the following aspects : social
economics, religious and socio-cultural.
- Develop the knowledge level
of the community of Sanur specifically through training and education
- Increase the livelihood and
prosperity of the community in Sanur
- Maintain the family-oriented
ties amongst the Sanur community
- Support the National
Development Program in efforts in realization towards the national goals
outlined in the declaration of independence (UUD 1945)
- Participate in the
development of the safety and security measures as outlined in the declaration
of independence (UUD 1945)
Functions :
- Become an association for
development, education, training for all community members of Sanur
- Become an association for
the community to achieve development and prosperity
- Become a means of social
communications amongst various components within the community
Scope of Activities
The scopes of its activities
includes but not limited to the following :
- Establish and develop small
scale businesses and co-operations
- Increase the livelihood of
its communities in aspects of religion,
culture and arts and sports
- Develop local schools and
training facilities
- Increase the health levels
of its community through medical centers and polyclinics
- Increase the involvement of
the younger generation in all aspects of community life
- Maintain safety and
stability within the community
- Implement responsible
community values within the community

PROGRAM TARGET AND
PRINCIPLES
Internal targets
- Revise YPS Articles
according to prevailing conditions and regulations
- Rearrange YPS personnel of
committee, staff and special team to become YPS employee
- Improve working mechanism
between YPS and other Rural Business Enterprises to create integrated cooperation
in planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Bearing in mind the scope of
YPS program, for prioritized payment therefore annual planning covers all
development sectors with adequate funding allocation
- Revise existing YPS
personnel regulation according to future conditions
External targets
A. Sector I (religion, social,
art, and culture)
Religion, art and culture
bureau
- Conduct religious ceremonies
and routine events at Indra Giri Temple as the only facility that binds the entire Sanur
community in the effort to achieve welfare in spiritual and material happiness
- Improve art education and
development by reactivating existing traditional and national art, such as
Sekaa Pesantian, Kidung, Gong, etc
- Inventory and accommodate
art performances at hotels
- To improve art quality,
conduct internal festivals in Sanur, which can also support tourism
- Manage facility and
infrastructure to support art performances
Social and environment
bureau
- Consider loyalty, devotion
of the Sulinggih, Pemangku, Traditions coordinators at banjar and Pakraman
village level
- To manage waste disposal and
environmental management, in coordination with village administrator, regional
administrator and related parties
- To improve environmental
sanitation, YPS should continually support environmental sanitation competition
among banjars utilizing proper situation
- Provide garbage bins to
create environmental sanitation
- Improve general health
education activities to the public in cooperation with Puskesmas
- Rearrange bazaar fund
raising carried out by banjar, PKK, and ST as not to burden the community
- Provide a banjar gathering
alternative to reduce community burden through routine expenditure
- Improve concern towards
environmental administration and preservation through cooperation with the government
B. Sector II (tourism and
education)
Tourism bureau
- Find new breakthroughs in
improving Sanur tourism image
- Involve tourism partners in
Sanur to become aware of Sanur tourism area development and preservation
- Strengthen Sanur tourism
industry role in development through Sanur Development Accompany Fund (DPSPS)
Education and human resource
bureau : Carry out training and
education related to human resource quality improvement for formal (basic,
secondary, and advanced education) and non formal education
C. Sector III (village security
and defense)
Village security and defense
- Support Village administration activities in publishing law and order to improve
national discipline
- Bearing in mind Sanur as a
tourism destination which is sensitive to security, to expand Sanur Security
Patrol Special Team (Timsus PKS) functions in maintaining Sanur security and
order, also functioning as Sanur Area Security coordination agency (BK3S)
- Timsus PKS acting as Sanur
community police should coordinate with the existing village guards (Pecalang
and Linmas) related to joint task executor at the village
- Manage Timsus PKS membership
that reflects traditional banjar representative existing in Sanur area
- Provide safety and comfort
for tourists visiting Sanur from disturbances i.e. side walk merchants, beggar,
thief, pickpocket, illegal money changer, etc
- Manage side walk merchants
along Sanur tourism area to maintain a beautiful scenery
- Request the Denpasar
Regional government that the fire engine remains standby at Sanur tourism area
- Consolidate guards in Sanur
Tourism Area into TimSus PKS managed under YPS, while requesting assistance
funds from Denpasar regency government
D. Sector IV (youth and sports)
Youth and sports bureau
- Refine Sanur Sport
Association committee including the branches
- Assist PORDES to obtain
talented players
- Assist youth and woman
education (Karang Taruna, Sekaa Teruna, PKK, etc) within the three regions in
Sanur
- Consider athlete achievement
at national/international levels to improve Sanur’s reputation
- Provide facility and
infrastructures that support sport activities
E. Sector V (economy, finance
and industry)
Business bureau
- Strengthen all existing
industry in Sanur involvement in Sanur development through DPSPS
- Reassess Sanur parking
revenue allocation managed by YPS and stopped because SIPARTA, by approaching
and cooperating with PD Parkir Denpasar city
- Generate new business
potentials that can support YPS operations in the future
- Rearrange Sanur area to
contribute to Sanur village development through YPS. For example arrange
organized and illegal taxi parking in the Sanur tourism area
Small and Medium scale
enterprise development
- Readjust all types of market
retribution to existing conditions and situation
- Renew ongoing shop contracts
for Sindhu and Intaran market also art shops in Segara Agung according to
current situation and condition based on the YPS general chairman decree
- Rearrange revenue resources
from business facility leases carried out by YPS until present
- On going training for small
and medium scale enterprises
- Expand or develop Sindhu
market
F. Sector VI (Asset)
Asset bureau
- Request the government state
land management title for golf practice in extending Letda Pica football field
- Rearrange and solve asset
issues owned by YPS
- Certify all YPS owned land
in the near future
- Optimize YPS hall and
building maintenance by recruiting special staff
- Supplement YPS hall and
building facility and infrastructure to create a representative meeting point
- Implement YPS asset
management
Development bureau
- Add new classrooms, teacher
and administration rooms, laboratory, gong and drum band equipment storage room
at SMP Wisata
- Rearrange YPS office
entrance up to the field in front of YPS office so it appears clean and scenic
- Add asphalt and develop a
parking lot and improve drainage in Sindhu market
- Expand YPS staff and
committee office, creating an integrated representative working area
